Patricia Fiorent Slater was born in Sweden in 1973. There she studied advertising and copywriting at RMI Berg’s School of Communications, and worked as a copy writer and art director for several advertising firms before moving to America in 2007. She worked in New York City for artist and sculptor Jeff Koons, as his oil color specialist for ten years, and helped assist during the creations of some of his iconic artworks. She is a visual artist herself, and has had exhibitions in galleries in Europe, as well as in the States.
She met her late husband Eric Hunter Slater in New York City during their art opening with Peter Beard, and after a few years Patricia and Eric got married and decided to move to Eric’s family home, right outside of Cooperstown, and live their green acres dream.
Patricia today resides in their home while pursuing her art. She specializes in oil on canvas portraits, country pursuits, horse and hound motifs, and landscapes. She also enjoys her photography, and is in the process of completing a series of her novels. She is also part of the Rotary Club of Cooperstown, sings soprano in Christ Church, and is currently working as a substitute teacher in the Elementary and High school of Cooperstown.
She recently joined the Fenimore Chamber Orchestra as a board member, and we are glad to have her onboard!
