Anne-Marie Schwartz

Violin

Ann-Marie Barker Schwartz is a native of Schenectady, New York and attended Boston University, where she received a Bachelor's in Violin Performance. She was a member of the Albany Symphony Orchestra first violin section from 1982-1997, and she is a member of the Glimmerglass Festival Orchestra. Ann-Marie is the founder and director of Musicians of Ma'alwyck, a chamber music ensemble in residence at the Schuyler Mansion New York State Historic Site. The ensemble has been featured on NPR and nominated for several awards. A passionate researcher of music and its tie to American culture, Ann-Marie also loves ballroom dancing, taking long walks at sunset and mentoring students.
